The Human Experience...

Praised be Jesus and Mary!

Being Human is entirely unrepeatable, incredibly unique and that is something we often forget and pass by. Too often we consider ourselves just merely a part of the species homo sapiens and simply a different version of the apes. Yet that is not true! We are made in the image and likeness of God and play an important role in the life of the world. Our human experience is far beyond the animalistic version we want to think it is, but it affects the deepest corners of our soul!

Grassroots Films, the same company that produced the highly successful short film Fishers of Men, have created another movie that is focused on this idea of "human experience." They hope to release this movie into theaters, but currently they are still working on getting enough support to do so. Right now Grassroots Films is allowing the film to be screened by High Schools, Colleges and other groups around the country. If you visit their website, you are able to request a screening in your city.

I truly hope and pray that this movie will be widely released some day so as to reveal the truth about our human nature through our experience.

Here are both the synopsis provided by Grassroots Films and the official trailer:

From Grassroots Films of Brooklyn, New York comes THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE – the story of a band of brothers who travel the world in search of the answers to the burning questions: Who am I? Who is Man? Why do we search for meaning? Their journey brings them into the middle of the lives of the homeless on the streets of New York City, the orphans and disabled children of Peru, and the abandoned lepers in the forests of Ghana, Africa. What the young men discover changes them forever. Through one on one interviews and real life encounters, the brothers are awakened to the beauty of the human person and the resilience of the human spirit.
